ഹൈന്ദവ പൂജകളില്‍ പ്രധാനമാണ് കറുകപ്പുല്ല്.

പ്രധാനമായും ഗണപതിയ്ക്കുള്ള പൂജകളിലാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

കറുകപ്പുല്ല് പ്രധാനമായും മൂന്നു ശക്തികളെ വഹിയ്ക്കുന്നുവെന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.

ശിവന്‍, ശക്തി, ഗണപതി.

പൂജയ്ക്കെടുക്കുന്നത് പൂവില്ലാത്ത കറുകയാണ്.

കറുക പൂജകള്‍ക്കു പ്രധാനമായതിനു പുറകില്‍ ഒരു കഥയുണ്ട്.

ഒരിക്കല്‍ അനലാസുരന്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗത്തില്‍ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി. ഈ അസുരന്റെ കണ്ണില്‍ നിന്നും പ്രവഹിച്ച തീയില്‍ പെട്ട് എല്ലാം ചാമ്പലായി. ഇതില്‍ നിന്നും രക്ഷപ്പെടാന്‍ ദേവന്മാര്‍ ഗണപതിയെ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചു. ഗണപതി അസുരനുമായി യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു. തന്റെ വിരാടരൂപം പുറത്തെടുത്ത ഗണപതി അസുരനെ വിഴുങ്ങി. എന്നാല്‍ അസുരന്റെ തീ ഗണപതിയുടെ വയറ്റില്‍ ചൂടും അസ്വസ്ഥതകളുമുണ്ടാക്കി. ഗണപതിയുടെ ദേഹം മുഴുവന്‍ ചൂടനുഭവപ്പെട്ടു. ഇതില്‍ നിന്നും സംരക്ഷണം നല്‍കാനായി ചന്ദ്രന്‍ ഗണപതിയുടെ തലയ്ക്കു മീതെ നിന്നു തണല്‍ നല്‍കി. വിഷ്ണുഭഗവാന്‍ തന്റെ താമര നല്‍കി. ശിവന്‍ വയറിനു ചുറ്റും ആശ്വാസം നല്‍കാനായി തന്റെ പാമ്പിനെ നല്‍കി. ഇതൊക്കെക്കൊണ്ടും ഗണപതിയ്ക്ക് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിച്ചില്ല.

അവസാനം പല ദിക്കുകളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള മഹര്‍ഷിമാര്‍ വന്ന് ഗണപതിയ്ക്ക് 21 കറുകപ്പുല്ലുകള്‍ നല്‍കി. ഇതോടെ ചൂടില്‍ നിന്നും ഗണപതി ഭഗവാന് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇതെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് തന്നെ കറുകപ്പുല്ലു കൊണ്ടു പൂജിയ്ക്കുന്നവരില്‍ താന്‍ പ്രസന്നനാകുമെന്ന് ഗണപതി അനുഗ്രഹം നല്‍കി.

21 കറുക കൊണ്ടുള്ള പൂജയാണ് ഏറ്റവും മികച്ചത്. ഇത് ഒരുമിച്ചു കെട്ടി വെള്ളത്തില്‍ മുക്കി ശുദ്ധമാക്കി ഗണപതിയെ പൂജിയ്ക്കണം. ഗണപതിയുടെ കാല്‍ക്കല്‍ നിന്നും തുടങ്ങി കഴുത്തറ്റം കറുക കൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നത് ഏറ്റവും വിശിഷ്ടമായി കരുതാം. കറുകയിലൂടെ ശിവ, ശക്തി, ഗണപതി ശക്തികള്‍ നമ്മെ സ്വാധീനിക്കുമെന്നും പൊസറ്റീവിറ്റി അനുഭവപ്പെടുമെന്നുമാണ് വിശ്വാസം.

ബ്രദേർസ് ആണ് അക്കാലത്തെ എരുമപ്പെട്ടിയിലെ ഫേവരേറ്റുകൾ തുടർച്ചയായി കപ്പെടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ബ്രദേർസിലെ സൈഡ് ബെഞ്ചിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് പോലും ആരാധകർ ഉള്ള കാലം , ആ വർഷത്തെ ബ്രദേർസിന്റ്റെ ഉദ്ഘാടന മത്സരം തൃശ്ശൂരിലെ ഏതോ കേട്ട് കേൾവിയില്ലാത്ത ക്ലബ്‌മായായിരുന്നു ,കളി കാണാനെത്തിയ ബ്രദേർസ് ഫാൻ എതിരാളികളായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടി ട്രൌസർ ഇട്ട മീശ മുളക്കാത്ത ചെക്കൻമാരെ ഒന്ന് പരിഹാസത്തോടെ നോക്കി ഗാലറിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു , എല്ലുറപ്പില്ലാത്ത ചെക്കൻമാരെയൊക്കെ ടൂർണമെൻറ്റിൽ കളിക്കാൻ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന സംഘാടകരെ നാട്ടിലെ ഫുട്ബാൾ വിദഗ്തൻ വർഗീസ്‌ ഏട്ടൻ വിമർശിച്ചു .
കളി തുടങ്ങി , കൊയ്ത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞ നെൽപ്പാടങ്ങളിൽ കെട്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കിയ ഗാലറിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ബ്രദേർസ് തങ്ങളുടെ കളി തുടങ്ങി , തൃശൂരിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന ചെക്കൻമാരുടെ പോസ്റ്റിലേക്ക് ആദ്യ പത്തു മിനുട്ടിൽ രണ്ടു ഗോൾ , ഹാഫ് ടൈമിനോടടുക്കുമ്പോഴേക്കും ഗോളുകളുടെ എണ്ണം 5 . പേരു കേട്ട ബ്രദേർസിൻറ്റെ ഡിഫൻസിനെ മറികടക്കാനാവാതെ തളരുന്ന തൃശൂരിലെ ചെക്കൻമാരുടെ മെലിഞ്ഞുണങ്ങിയ കറുത്ത നിറമുള്ള 15 വയസുകാരൻ ഫോർവേഡിനെ നോക്കി വർഗീസ് ഏട്ടൻ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു ” ആ ചെക്കന് ആദ്യം ഇത്തിരി കഞ്ഞി വെള്ളം കൊടുക്ക്‌ ” .
5-0 എന്ന സ്കോർ കാർഡ്‌ കണ്ട് ബ്രദേർസിൻറ്റെ വിജയം ഉറപ്പിച്ച പല ഫാൻസും ഹാഫ് ടൈമിനു തന്നെ കുന്നം കുളത്തേക്കും , വടക്കാൻ ചേരിയിലേക്കുമുള്ള ബസ്‌ പിടിച്ചു , കളി വീണ്ടും തുടങ്ങി- വിജയമുറപ്പിച്ച ബ്രദേഷ്സ് പകരക്കാരെ ഇറക്കി ,ബ്രദേർസിൻറ്റെ നാല് പേരെ ഡ്രിബിൾ ചെയ്ത് മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുന്ന തൃശൂരുകാരുടെ കറുത്ത് മെലിഞ്ഞ ഫോർവേഡിൻറ്റെ ഗോൾ പോസ്റ്റിലേക്കുള്ള നീക്കം കണ്ട് മുഷിഞ്ഞിരുന്നിരുന്ന വർഗീസ്‌ ഏട്ടൻ അവനെ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിച് കൈ അടിച്ചു അവൻ നീട്ടി അടിച്ച ബാൾ ഗോളിയെയും മറികടന്ന് ബ്രദേർസിൻറ്റെ പോസ്റ്റിനകത്ത് .(5-1)
കറുത്ത് മെലിഞ്ഞ തൃശൂരിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന 15 വയസുകാരൻ ചെക്കൻറ്റെ കളി കണ്ട് അവനെ സപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം കൂടി , ബ്രദേർസിൻറ്റെ പേര് കേട്ട പ്രതിരോധ നിര അവനെ തടഞ്ഞു നിർത്താൻ പണി പ്പെട്ടു . കളി തീരാൻ നിമിഷങ്ങൾ ശേഷിക്കെ വായുവിൽ മലക്കം മറിഞ്ഞ് അവൻ തിരിച്ചടിച്ച അൻജാമത്തെ ഗോൾ കണ്ട് തീവ്ര ബ്രദേർസ് ഫാൻസും കൈ അടിച്ചത്രെ .
കരുത്തൻമാരായ ബ്രദേർസ് പോസ്റ്റിൽ 5 ഗോളുകൾ തിരിച്ചടിച്ച് കളി സമനിലയാക്കിയ തൃശൂരിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന കറുത്ത് മെലിഞ്ഞ പയ്യന് നേരെ കോല് ഐസ് നീട്ടി വർഗീസ്‌ ഏട്ടൻ ചോദിച്ചു” എന്താടാ നിൻറ്റെ പേര് “..?

This temple,  though in the name of Bhagavaan Shri Krishna , is dwelled by Shri Devi – “Painkanni “. Hence the temple is also famous as “Painkannikkavu “.

Other Dieties who adorn the divine atmosphere are Bhadra Kaali and Dharma Shaasta

The temple has another pecularity of the “Prathishta “(installation )of Shri Bhadra Kaali was done by a Woman.

Rather she is a little girl studying in High School at Irinjaalakkuda.

Being  the daughter of Temple Priest and Tantri,  Brahma Shri Tarananellur Padmanabhan Namboothiri ppad ,

“Jyotsna” the First Woman Tantri in Kerala is adament in the Rituals and committed to the Temple Tamera and Tantrik Karma.

past 1.30 am, waiting for the Malabar Express (16629) from Trissur to Nileshwaram. Pappettan(KNP), our keen photographer is watching the conversation of Railway Police. May be he would have captured some nice frames in Mind’s digital SLR camera. Sheduled departure of our Train is at 1.30 am from Trissur.
Night at the vacant Railway Station is bright with Lights.
Sleep of the old bearded person lying behind our seat,has by now switched to omega !
Snorring at its maximum, resembles an Indian Bajaj RE electronics Auto Rikshaw on road.
Previously I had penned, I always remember Ruskin Bond, and his night train at Deoli, whenever I have to Board a train.
In RB’s short story, so beautiful, ends with myriads of unanswered questions left to the imagination of readers. What would have happend to that girl…?
Some how, I always feel a sense of seperation and aloofness, when going back through the story in mind. But with a fragrance.
We all travel, some have a lot to travel, some have less journeys. Some loves the moving life, and some anchored life.
The auto rikshaw behind us has increased in speed. !
The small bunks, with vendors of tea and coffe are one by one closing down.
A man steppd out of a movin train, grabbed a bottle of mineral water and some how managed to get back into it.
Thoughts are wandering, primarily due to the veiling sleep over the consiousness.
Trissur is some times (!) famous as the cultural capital of Kerala. I dont know the real reason, may be because of so much cultural and Literary activities during freedom struggle,and quite after wards till the 90s. Now, no place in any area can be assigned with such titles. Since, each individual has his/her own capital in his self made domain.
Hmm.. Our Train is arriving….I must pen afterwards… Good morning to all.
